Caldecott Medal (most distinguished picture book):
     A Ball for Daisy written and illustrated by Chris Raschka
Caldecott Honor: 
    Blackout written and illustrated by John Rocco
    Grandpa Green written and illustrated by Lane Smith
    Me … Jane written and illustrated by Patrick McDonnell
