                Our history:
The Somers Middle School Library Media Center opened its doors in January 2001 in a space that was formally the gym.  The new library, with its high ceilings, arched windows and walls of beautifully aged oak wood, has the charm of a 1937 school building and resources of a high-tech, state-of-the-art media center.  Students can access the Internet, including library databases from 16 workstations in the library and additional computers in the adjacent lab.  The library's catalog and databases are also available online from home, 24/7.
